Start with the functions and appliance space you need before comparing the options below.

Separate solo, grill and convection

Solo uses microwave energy for reheating, defrosting and cooking. A grill adds a heating element for browning. Convection uses circulating hot air and must be an explicitly documented function of the model you choose.

The Saudi Toshiba MW3-AG20PE offer lists microwave, grill and combined modes. Toshiba’s model page describes a microwave with grill. Combined mode is not convection; do not choose it as a convection baking oven.

The LG MH6535GDS grill and Smart Inverter description does not establish convection either. Read solo versus grill before paying for an upgrade.

Measure the dish, cavity and location

Start with the largest dish, including handles and its permitted cover, then compare the cavity, turntable and rotation space. Compare external dimensions with the location, door opening and manual ventilation requirements. A 20L label cannot guarantee a couple’s plate fits, and 25L does not guarantee a family meal in one batch.

Read power and controls without a performance promise

Check the exact model’s controls and permitted cooking modes. Choose the programs you will use and decide which differences justify the price.

Frequently asked questions

How should I start choosing?

Start with solo for reheating and defrosting; compare grill if you want browning. Then check dish fit, location and controls.

Does the Toshiba MW3-AG20PE have convection?

No. Its specified modes are microwave, grill and combined operation. A 3-in-1 label does not establish a convection oven.

Do more liters or watts mean a better microwave?

Not on their own. Measure the dish, cavity and location. Listed power does not establish even heating, and liters do not guarantee dish fit.

When should I pay more for LG?

When its listed 25L cavity dimensions or different controls suit your needs. Compare its power settings and programs with the ones you use.
