The entry-price choice
The Top-Fill model has the lower recorded amount of the two smaller units. Compare its refill access with the AquaOasis design, the space you have and how easily you can clean and carry the tank. A difference in tank liters does not establish which humidifies your room more effectively.
Before either purchase, measure indoor humidity. Buying a humidifier for a room that is already adequately humid adds maintenance without addressing a demonstrated need.
What the premium pays for
The OasisMist adds a larger reservoir and app and automatic-humidity controls. Compare those conveniences with your routine, but check rated coverage and output separately. A 10L tank is not proof of multiroom performance and is not a reason to leave the same water standing for days.
The EPA recommends emptying, drying and refilling portable tanks daily and cleaning every third day. Keep indoor relative humidity at or below 50% and reduce or stop use if surfaces become damp. Automatic controls do not replace those checks.
Budget beyond the device
For an ultrasonic unit, consider low-mineral water such as distilled water in line with EPA and manufacturer guidance. Check whether your exact model needs replacement filters or other consumables, and price those separately. Do not assume every humidifier has the same ongoing costs.
Pay more for controls or handling improvements you will use. Do not select by a tank-size-to-bedroom rule or an unsupported promise of better sleep or cold relief.
